Lidding Foils

Aluminium foil for yoghurt and marmalade lids


Aluminium foil thickness: from 20 microns to 45 microns
Coating: one side with primer suitable for printing and/or other side with thermosealing lacquer.Width, inner core diameter and outside diameter: according to customer's requirements.

Sealant & Coating : Different type materials ask for different sealant film or lacquer for compatibility. One side of the foil is either coated with a heat seal lacquer or laminated with suitable polymer films. The type of sealant are:

Reel SizeReels are delivered with an O.D. of 400 +/- 10 mm maximum or as specified by the customer.
IdentificationEach reel is identified with a ticket having reel number, specification, operator number and manufacturing date.
PackingPacked in cardboard carton. For export, the reels are packed in wooden crate/box. Relevant markings are provided on each outer package.
Test CertificatesTest certificates giving the actual observed values of different parameters will accompany the supplies.

  • Polymer Coating options : : As specified in purchase order. Colorless polyethylene / Resin Coating for sealing purpose, conforming to the applicable Government

  • Printing & Lacquer Coating: : Printing as per Text, Layout and shade approval by the customer. Printing inks and lacquer coating are capable to withstand at a temperature of 160 deg c for 1 sec dwell time.
  • Winding Direction: : Printed or clear lacquer side is out in the finished reel unless otherwise specified in purchase order.
  • Core: : As specified in purchase order: Material: Plastic, Aluminum or Cardboard. ID - 70/76mm with a tolerance of +/- 1 mm.
  • Splices: : Butt type with 25 mm pressure sensitive adhesive tape. Avg. number of joints < 2 per reel.
  • Reel O.D.: : 80% of the reels in a consignment will have OD 250 +/- 10mm and rest may have smaller OD.
  • Reel Wander: : Within +/- 1mm.
  • Roll width: : As specified +/- 1.0 mm
  • Identification: : Each reel is identified with a ticket having Reel No., Specification, and Mfg. date.
  • Packing: : Pharma foil reels are packed in cardboard carton. Reels are wrapped with LDPE film and packed with corners and foam side protectors. Jumbo reels are packed in wooden box in suspended condition with necessary poly film wrapping, corners and foam side protectors.
  • Marking: : Order No., Batch No., Gross & Net Wt. and any other details as agreed mutually with customer




Lidding Foil is appropriate for sealing to PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), PP (Polypropylene), PET (Polyethyleneterphthalate), PE (Polyethylene), HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), PS (Polystyrene). Our Aluminium Lidding Foil is made in accordance with the mentioned specifications of the client. We make sure that Aluminium Lidding Foil, provided by us, is made with soft and fully annealed Aluminium alloy AA-8011 that conforms to Aluminium Association specification.
